Gentically-Premature-Rhetoric
Size 100in x 35.75in
Gallery Homiens, ART Connect
Statement My research critically examines the relationship between food science and genetically modified organisms, exploring the potential risks and ethical implications of genetic engineering. Through my work, I question the safety of altered genes in genetically engineered foods and consider how these modifications might ultimately affect human genetic identity.
I aim to create visual dialogues that invite reflection and participation—encouraging viewers to think critically about the intersection of science, technology, and humanity. By combining freeform and structured typography with layered visual information inspired by gene-splicing, my compositions evoke the unstable, shifting nature of genetic modification. This interplay between order and disruption mirrors the tension between innovation and consequence in contemporary biotechnology.

Statement This photograph captures a rose in its final stage—a bloom that once radiated color and life, now brittle and muted. The wilted petals curl inward like secrets kept too long, their textures telling a story of time, fragility, and inevitable change.
Cradle of Rain, Photography
Statement This photography is caught between falling and evaporating, the droplet becomes a lens, bending light and distorting the green world beneath it. The stillness invites intimacy, asking the viewer to slow down and notice the fragile intersections between water, plant, and air.

Enkindle, Digital Art
Gallery 2727 Woodburn Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45206
Statement Fire has long symbolized destruction and transformation, and through digital tools, I aim to capture the intensity and complexity of this force. Digital media offers a unique platform to express the fluid, often chaotic nature of burning. By manipulating color, texture, and form in virtual spaces, I create immersive landscapes where fire becomes both a destructive and creative force. With digital layers, I simulate the gradual unraveling or explosive impact of fire, evoking sensations of urgency, fear, renewal, or purification. I hope to push the boundaries of how we understand and visualize this powerful element.

Statement The important social role played by eyes is not just a human thing; a gaze is an important signal of intention in almost all social species, transmitting unspoken messages of threat, dominance, submissiveness, courtship, and more, by the maintenance or aversion of gaze or by changes in eye color. Evolution has even equipped many species of moths, butterflies, and fish with eyelike stimuli called “eyespots” to mislead and intimidate predators.

BIO/STATEMENT The intricate lines inside our eyes, like delicate maps etched upon the iris, hold the secret narratives of our vision. These fine, intersecting threads of color and light weave together to form the iridescent tapestry that defines each individual's gaze. Each line tells a tale of resilience and vulnerability, mirrored in the reflections of the world we perceive through our eyes. They are the silent witnesses to our journey, tracing the contours of our existence with grace and profound beauty.
BIO/STATEMENT Digital Art: A simple safety pin, often overlooked in its utilitarian role, possesses a surprising ability to embody beauty. Its straightforward design, with a coiled spring and a sharp, slender shaft, belies its potential to adorn and transform. When adorned with beads, ribbons, or charms, it becomes a symbol of creativity and personal expression, turning practicality into a statement of individuality.EXHIBITION DATES:
